Manage Verification Options tab of Manage Your One Healthcare ID

You can update information in your profile on the Manage your One Healthcare ID page. The page has three tabs:

  • Update Profile
  • Sign In Information
  • Manage Verification Options

You can update your email address(es), mobile phone number, and security questions, which you can later use to help you recover your One Healthcare ID or reset your password. Email addresses and mobile phone numbers must be verified to use them for the account recovery process.

How to manage your verification options

To change your primary email address:]

  • Enter a new primary Email address.
  • Tip: If the email address is already associated with a One Healthcare ID, a Shared Email Address message appears. Some applications may require a unique email address, which is one that only you use.

  • Select Save. You must confirm your primary email address.
  • Check your inbox for an email from Optum.

    Note: Confirmation codes do expire. If you did not respond before the code expired, you can request another code.

  • Do one of the following:

    • Select the Activate my One Healthcare ID link in the email you received.
    • Select the enter the 10-digit activation code link on this page.
  • Enter your 10-digit activation code.
  • Select Next. Your email address is confirmed.

To add another email address to your profile or to update one, enter the Secondary email address.

Tip: You must verify the email address before you can use it to access One Healthcare ID's self-service features.

To add a phone number to your profile or to update one:

  • Enter your Phone number.
  • Select your preferred Phone communication method.

Tip: You must verify the phone number before you can use it to access One Healthcare ID's self-service features.

To change your phone communication method, select one of the following:

  • Text messages only
  • Phone calls only
  • Both text messages and phone calls

To add or update your security questions:

    Select the Add or change security questions link on the Manage Verification Options subtab of the Manage Your One Healthcare ID page.

    Select a question from the Security question 1, Security question 2, or Security question 3 drop-down lists.

    Tip: You do not have to change your security question to update the answer.

    Type your answer in the answer field below the question.

    Repeat for each question.

    Note: You must answer all three questions.

  • Select Save.

Tip: To display the characters you type, click the icon. Click the icon to mask the characters with asterisks.

If you have not already saved your changes, select Save.

If you have changed or added a secondary email address or a mobile phone number, you are given the opportunity to confirm the change:

  • To verify the email address now:
    • Select Continue on the Manage Your One Healthcare ID page.

    • Enter the code you received via text in the Verification code field.

    • Select Next. A confirmation message displays.

    • Select Continue.

  • To verify the phone number via text now (for both Text messages only and Both text messages and phone calls:
    • Select Continue on the Manage Your One Healthcare ID page.

    • Enter the code you received via text in the Verification code field.

    • Select Next. A confirmation message displays.

    • Select Continue.

  • To verify the phone number via phone call now:
    • Select Continue on the Manage Your One Healthcare ID page.

    • Answer the phone and confirm that you want to receive the call from Optum.

    • Use the keypad on the phone to enter the verification code displayed on Mobile Phone Number: Call Me page.

Note: Select Not now on the Manage Your One Healthcare ID page to confirm the change at another time.
